Musical 2020-2021

Covid-19 has impacted our traditional fall musical. We are looking forward to being able to bring back one of our favorite traditions (both particpate in or to watch) once our health and safety restrictions are lifted.

We are hoping to be able to bring "Guys and Dolls" to our stage in the spring of 2021 with potential show dates on March 11-13.   Dates subject to change.

The musical is open to students in grades 7 - 12, on the stage or behind the scenes.

Being in the musical is a big commitment. Rehearsals generally occur after school and on week nights. There are some rehearsals before school and on weekends, depending on the needs and schedules of the actors and the directors. In the early stages of the show, the number of rehearsals a week depends on your role. Closer to the performance date, everyone is at all of the rehearsals. Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to be a part of the musical in some way. The committees include:

  • Set Building
  • Set Decorating
  • Props – finding / creating
  • Costumes
  • Make Up and Hair
  • Program/ Ads
  • Publicity
  • Light and Sound - load in/ strike
  • Production Week Meals
  • Cast Party

Techies are an important part of the production. We need students on the set, prop, light/ sound, costume and hair & make up crews. Some crews start right up, and others gather a month into production.

There will be more information available at the beginning of the school year about audition workshops, the audition itself and technical crews. Stay tuned!

Miss O'Hara can be contacted at [email protected] if you have any questions.

*****Students in grades 7 - 12 are needed to be on various technical crews. Student participation in the instrumental ensemble is by invitation.
