Hello! My name is Tyler Barron and I am excited to introduce myself as the Middle School Counselor for the 2022-2023 school year. I will be working with students on both team Endeavor and team Phoenix throughout this year. To give you a little information about me, I grew up in the Chittenden County area and have lived in Vermont the majority of my life. I like to stay active and spend time with my family and friends. Below is some information about what I hope to provide in my role:
What does a School Counselor do?
Provide individual counseling on a short-term basis to support students with their social, emotional, academic and behavioral goals.
Facilitate small groups among students on topics that are relevant such as friendship, stress management, social skills, etc.
Facilitate classroom lessons related to social and emotional learning.
Provide academic planning and support as students prepare to transition to high school.
Consult with families to help their student have a successful middle school experience.
