At VUHS we believe that students should be recognized for excellence in both academic skills and habits of work skills. Although we separate those skills at the course level and do not count the HoW proficiency score as part of the Course Score, we feel it is important to use both scores in determining eligibility for Honor Roll and High Honors. We will do this by requiring a baseline proficiency score for both the Content Score and the Habits of Work score in order to qualify for Honor Roll. Honor Rolls will be calculated twice a year, once after the first semester and again at the end of the year.
A student must have a baseline proficiency score of 3.25 for both the Course Score and the Habits of Work score in each and every course.
Lists will be posted after the close of each semester.
Semester 1 | Semester 2
In order to be considered for the honor roll, a student must be enrolled full-time. The honor roll is based on quarterly grades. If a student has an “INC” grade at the time the honor roll is generated, they will not be eligible for honor roll.
Honor Roll means all grades above 80 with an overall average of at least 85.
High Honors means all grades must be a 90 or above.
