Administrators’ Message

We are constantly working on ways to communicate information to students, parents, and families. We include important details in each addition of the e-News as well as send individual emails related to one topic or scheduled event. You might notice with the e-News that we try to organize the information in a reader-friendly format (colored titles for each item, a small explanation, and a link to additional details), but thought that explaining the format would also be helpful.

You’ll always see our message first followed by any information that is more specific to certain grade levels. This week we are including all middle school information for either team in one email. For high school, we are combining information that is specific to certain grades for all grades to view. Most of the high school details relate to seniors, but are good for younger students to begin considering prior to the grade level it pertains to. In other words, we want all high school students thinking about and planning for life after high school. Be sure to check out the linked information to learn more.

The all-school news always starts with our events calendar. If you know of something happening that isn’t on the calendar, please send it to Jay ([email protected]). Next, you will see any student or group recognitions. Our students and faculty/staff are doing awesome things. Again, send us anything we seem to have missed. The remaining sections include opportunities for parents and students to get involved and/or expand their learning experiences. Finally, sometimes we include information for a few consecutive weeks to make sure that everyone had a chance to see it. After the first week or two, we move these toward the end of the e-News.

You can always view previous editions of the all-school e-News on our website by clicking on the ‘News & Announcements’ link in the top toolbar.

If you have thoughts about other ways we can share information with the VUHS community, please let us know.

Thanks for being in touch.
Stephanie, Ed, and Jay
