Chris Oxley

I was born and raised in Detroit, MI and have weaved my way to Vermont via Washington, Oregon, and Connecticut.  After earning a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Michigan, I spent six years on the West Coast studying songbirds, bats, salamanders, and endangered seabirds.  After a leap to the East Coast, I earned a M.S. in Environmental Studies and a teaching certificate from Antioch New England Graduate School.  As an avid soccer fan, I coach the JV boy’s soccer team at VUHS and continue to play in a men’s league year round.  Since building my own house in Lincoln with my wife, I spend most of my time fixing everything I did wrong the first time.  I also enjoy hiking with my dog Jack, bird watching, and woodworking.  I am thrilled to be part of a visionary middle school with an expeditionary learning focus.
