Mr. Fries Bio
I am very happy to return to Vergennes Middle School this year as Team Millennium's Social Studies teacher.  I have spent most of my life in Vermont, and have a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Middle Level Education from the University of Vermont.  In addition to reading, singing, biking and photography, one of my biggest interests is traveling.  Whether I'm leading a group of teenagers on a two-week trip to Alaska, volunteering in different communities in Mexico, observing teachers in New Zealand schools, or traveling out to the Grand Canyon (my most recent adventure), I am always trying to find experiences that I can bring back to the classroom.  This year, my focus will be on United States History, from the Constitution to the beginning of the 20th century.  I am excited to be part of an expeditionary learning school that allows for a unique and engaging approach to history and geography.
