Champlain Valley Area Health Education Center’s Health Careers Exploration Program Shadow Day

Friday, October 23, 2009 at Porter Medical Center

Shadow Day is a one-day Health Careers Exploration Program for high school students.

Anyone in 10th-12th grade students from Addison County, Vermont who are interested in:

  • Exploring the diversity of health careers
  • Gaining comfort in a health care environment
  • Learning about resources in higher education
  • Shadowing a professional in health care field
  • Developing skills for pursuing a health career

Applications are available at www.cvahec.org or pick one up in the Guidance Office.  
Mail completed applications to Champlain Valley AHEC NO LATER THAN Tuesday, September 22, 2009.

 

Focus on Health Careers

Saturday, November 7th, 2009 At the Medical Education Center UVM College of Medicine.

This is a day-long conference for high school students who aspire to health careers. 

The conference will give students exposure to non-hospital settings and many occupations not available in the Shadow Day or MedQuest.
