2011 Snow Row

            The VUHS rowing team went down to Hull Massachusetts this past Friday. After a fun time in Boston the team stayed at the Hull Lifesaving Museum for the night. At around noon the next day the races began. The two VUHS teams took off in the third heat. When the cannon fired both teams ran to their boats where their coxswain was waiting. One by one each rower climbed in and made their way to their seat. The last person in had to push off their boat and climb in after. The experienced team of Chelsea Ross as coxswain, and rowers; Jarret Clark, Robert Burbo, Max Campono, Dale Eriksen, Rachel Clark, and Jesse Bunde took first place for the Youth Pro Six Oared Division, with a time of forty-one minutes and forty-four seconds. The novice team of Emily Weber as coxswain, and rowers; Alex Hulfish, Josh Cook, Emily Delgadillo, Ari Duprey, Nick Beamish, and Bailey Dieterle took third place in the Amateur Youth Six Oared Division, with a time of one hour and three seconds.
