2006 Icebreaker
Traveling to Boston this weekend to participate in the New England Regional Youth Rowing Championships the Vergennes Rowing Team rose to the occasion and walked away with several top awards. The team of Ashley Barnes, Elias Baldwin, Elayne Labombard, Patrick McCarthy, Daniel Averill and Justin Lalumiere took top honors in the grueling nautical mile.  The team of Mavis Stansbury, Marlena Delise, Ashley Eriksen and Ethan Baldwin took the top honors in their division. Participating as the youngest six man team at the championship the team of Jesse Bunde, Adam Bunde, Devan Roberts, Dale Eriksen, Jake Thompson and Peter McDurfee, just missed taking the first place spot by a mere 12 seconds and had to settle for second place.  The Vergennes Rowing Team made there presence known as becoming one of the top rowing programs in the region. Congratulations to a super performance.
