2010 Icebreaker

In November the VUHS rowing team ventured down to Hull, Massachusetts for the Icebreaker championships. The Varsity team of coxswain, Chelsea Ross and rowers Jarrett Clark, Robert Burbo, Dale Eriksen, Jesse Bunde, Rachel Clark, and rotations of Kelsey Dobson and Cody Hutchins placed second in the youth experienced division. The seconds team with rotating coxswains Chelsea Ross and Dale Eriksen, and rowers Jade Houston, Josh Cook, Nick Beamish, and rotations Kelsey Dobson and Cody Hutchins, were unable to compete in the second heat because of high winds, but finished seventh place in their first race. The middleschool team with Coxswain Dennis West (coach) and rowers Bailey Dieterle, John Tatlock, Kyle Dow, Emily Delgadillo, Emily Weber, and Ari Duprey finished second place in the middle school division.
